Get up close and personal with our new porcupine Barton! Barton survived a brush fire in Washington state and has become one of the Academy’s newest animal ambassadors. You can read more about his journey to the Academy’s in last month’s post.
Barton made his public debut on Wednesday, but there’s a second chance to meet him this Sunday, December 14 at a special story time. Education staff, assisted by our puppet storyteller, Marty the Moose, will share the children’s book, A Porcupine Named Fluffy. Plus, enjoy porcupine crafts and learn about forest fires and how they affect animals. American Heritage Chocolate Days return this weekend as well.
